Dave the Diver is a game about exploring the large mysterious ocean called the Blue Hole. When you aren’t exploring the depths of the ocean, you are managing a sushi restaurant, serving dishes off the menu to those who order them.

The game is full of exploration, resources to discover, weapons to collect, and characters to meet. When it comes to managing the restaurant, you need to hire employees, deal with special customers, and try not to mess up pouring a perfect beer.

The beer minigame is one that many seem to get frustrated with. Its poor timing has many ignoring the minigame completely. Maybe it will be easier on the Switch. This guide will show you how to pour beer in Dave the Diver.

Dave the Diver – How to pour beer

To pour a beer in Dave the Diver, you must first start the beer pour minigame at the restaurant. Once started, press the S key to pour the beer when the glass is tilted. Some users on Steam suggest counting to two and then stopping.

With the glass partly filled, press the D key to straighten the glass. With the glass straightened, press the S key again to fill the glass up the rest of the way.

This method also works for pouring green tea at the bar. Overall, many suggest that you hire servers to take over the beer pour minigame. Servers will typically work much faster than Dave, therefore giving you more time to handle other minigames, game mechanics, and side quests.

As you explore the world of Dave the Dive, you will collect more recipes, meet new folks around town, and explore the bottom of the ocean. There is a large world to discover and this minigame is just a small part of it.

Meet the locals and focus on progressing through the main story to unlock more minigames and expand the restaurant.
