If you’re looking for an adventure to dive in that includes catching a Seahorse, Dave the Diver is your man. Though you may want to spend your time undergoing a deep sea exploration in a mysterious patch of ocean, plenty of lovable characters are waiting for you at the Sushi Bar, excited for new recipes and dishes.
During Daves’s dives, there will be loads of quests, treasures, lots of characters, colorful fish, and huge sea monsters. This guide will detail more about how to catch a Seahorse in Dave the Diver.
Where to Catch Seahorses in Dave the Diver
Common Seahorses are scattered throughout the Blue Hole and others in the Sea People Village. To catch a Seahore, you will need a Bug Net. You will obtain this item once you complete Chapter 2: Reticent Girl quest in Dave the Diver.
Once Dave is close enough, use the spacebar icon when it appears above Dave’s head to catch the Seahorse. During Chapter 3 and part of the side quest, Dave will be tasked to catch four runaway Seahorses at the Game Parlor. They are the Giraffe Seahorse, Dwarf Seahorse, Hedgehog Seahorse, and Crowned Seahorse.
Three of these Seahorses can be found in the lower level of the village. The Giraffe Seahorse can be located near the Sea People Village Village entrance teleportation mirror. You can find the Hedgehog Seahorse swimming near Mima’s Restaurant. Next up, enter the Seed Shop; you will find the Dwarf Seahorse. Lastly, you can find the Crowned Seahorse in Tenzhin’s House.
After you have caught Seahorses, you can return to the Game Parlor and speak to Linchen. After you have given the Seahorses to Linchen, she will advise you to talk to Yami, who will reward you with a Jayakar’s Seahorse.
Though you may think catching fish is easy. You will need the Bug Net to capture small creatures like Seahorses and Clione. If you try to capture these sea creatures with a weapon like a Harpoon or Spear, you’ll make ingredients for your next meal at the Sushi Restaurant.
