Over the years, the FIFA franchise, which will now be called EA Sports FC 24, has been available on a wide variety of consoles. Ranging from computers to the Nintendo Switch, most gamers have always had access to the soccer simulator franchise. Will the PS4 keep that streak intact this year?
With the rise of next-gen consoles, last-gens like the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One are slowly becoming obsolete. Some new games have already eschewed the last-gen platforms at launch. Is EA Sports FC 24 one of them?

Will EA Sports FC 24 come to PS4?
Yes, EA Sports FC 24 will be available on the PS4 in September on release date. For now, EA has opted to continue making their sports games for both sets of consoles. A day is coming at some point when the PS4, Xbox One, and others will be completely phased out, but that day is not today. For now, FUT, Career Mode, Tournaments, and more will be on the PlayStation 4.
With that being said, there are differences between the two versions. The PlayStation 4 version of the game, which features Erling Haaland as the cover athlete, will not have as many capabilities as the PS5 edition. The PlayStation 5 is said to have significantly faster load times than the 4’s version.
The cross-play will also be limited. FC 24 players on PS4 can play with Xbox One, but they can’t play with Xbox Series X|S or PC. Hypermotion, which effectively makes the player’s movements and activities extremely realistic, is not available on last-gen. The future of football simulation is here, and PlayStation 4 can’t really keep up, but it’s sticking around for the time being.
Neither is AcceleRATE, which is a new method of assigning overall ratings and physical attributes. Everything else is the same across either version of the PlayStation FC 24. All game modes, such as Career Mode, Volta Football, and Ultimate Team, are available and the price for pre-orders is exactly the same.
Both PlayStations do have an Ultimate Edition (which features Dual Entitlement) as well as a Standard Edition. They come with different pre-order bonuses, too.
