Here is our EA Sports FC 24 Countdown Clock for Pacific Time. We are going off of console timing for the above time zones, but the Pitch Notes stated that PC players will have the game at 5am BST. According to the website, that is the EA Sports FC release date:

All 2K players starting their FC journey on September 29 will have access to the game as soon as it goes live. There is early access for those who pre-order the Ultimate Edition, but pre-ordering the Standard Edition or buying any after the game goes live doesn’t grant any access. EA Play subscribers can get 10% off their purchase and a 10-hour free trial with their subscription, though. They can begin before the last Friday of September per the release schedule.

What is going to be on EA Sports FC 24 when it releases?

The EA Sports FC 24 website has confirmed these platforms:

  • Xbox Series X|S
  •  Xbox One
  •  PlayStation 5
  •  PlayStation 4
  •  PC
  •  Nintendo Switch
  •  Steam
  •  Epic Games Store
  •  EA Play for Windows

EA Sports FC expected modes

The following modes should be present in the game:

  • Kick-off
  •  VOLTA Football
  •  Ultimate Team
  •  Training Centre
  •  Tournaments
  •  FIFA World Cup
  •  Career mode
  •  Skill Game
  •  Seasons
  •  Online friendlies
  •  PlayStation Tournaments
  •  Pro Clubs

For Ultimate Team, you can expect it to remain largely the same. However, FUT does get Ultimate Team Campaigns, kit customization, 5-star coach cards, female players from the NWSL, and more. FC Points, Ambassador Loan Player Pick Items, additional Player Personality Points, a Cover Star Loan Player Item, a Campaign Loan Player Item, an Ultimate Team player item, access to the Nike Ultimate Team Campaign and more can be granted for FUT with a pre-order. Ultimate Team evolutions have kept the mode fresh and exciting over the years. Rumours that FC 24 would get female cards came true, and it’s been a fan favorite addition even before the game officially releases.

Career mode is back in its usual form as well. Start a manager career or a player career in any league in the world. If you do well enough, you can get into the UEFA Champions League. The UEFA Women’s Champions League is available, too. HyperMotionV is being introduced to the world’s game as well. Hire a top-tier coach or become the best player your squad has ever seen in both male and female leagues.

Although it featured in some of the earlier FIFA games, we are not expecting The Journey or some form of sequel to this to appear in this year’s game, although we could well see a handful of new game modes appear in time. One big omission that featured in FIFA 23 will be the World Cup mode – but as this is not happening for another four years or so, it will not affect this year’s game. There are no more exclusive partnerships from that agreement.

When the launch happens, you can play stadiums in La Liga, Bundesliga, Premier League, CONMEBOL Libertadores, UEFA, Serie A, Ligue 1, the MLS, and more. Play with your favorite athletes and stadiums on both console and PC for the world’s game! A companion app is expected to arrive soon, though perhaps not until November. The game comes out just before October, on Sept. 29.

Does EA Sports still have player licenses?

One of the biggest concerns for fans when EA Sports and FIFA split was how it would impact in-game licensing. Luckily, EA Sports will keep most of the licenses they have had in the past excluding the World Cup. The only things currently on the EA Sports FC website are the logos of all the leagues and competitions that are set to remain in the game. This is arguably the best part of EA Sports FC- being able to play with icons and heroes from soccer leagues across the world. If there’s a player you know, they’re probably in this game.

Despite the controversy surrounding Konami, the eFootball developer, and the name change from FIFA, the FC blog confirms that nothing but the name will change. The FIFA franchise is now EA FC, and EA Sports FC’s release will confirm that even more so. The upcoming game will be as if it were FIFA 24.

As mentioned previously, 19,000 fully licensed players and 700 teams spanning over 30 different leagues will feature in the game. You can read more about the respective leagues, as well as what these leagues had to say regarding the game here. Should you pre-order the Ultimate Edition at any point between now and Friday, you will get early access. Great experiences await you and the future of football is bright!
