If you start a Career as a player, you will begin as a bench player on whichever squad. Whether you’re in the Premier League, the Saudi Pro League, the MLS, or something else, you will not begin as a starter. You have to earn your place in the starting lineup. Here’s how to do that.

How do I become a starter in EA Sports FC 24?
To make it to the starting XI in EA Sports FC 24, you have to earn your coach’s favor. In a player career (this does not apply to Ultimate Team, Pro Clubs, Volta Football, or any other modes), you begin as a bench player who needs to work into the lineup. This doesn’t apply to a manager career, either.
You do this by playing well. The better you play, the more favor you earn. There is a bar of favor and when you’re above the line, you will be inserted into the lineup. If you are below that line, you will remain on the bench as a reserve.
There is one trouble with this. When you begin your career, without many attribute evolutions, it’s hard to play well in such a short time. You’ll be inserted into the game with about 10 or so minutes left. The game will task you with scoring a goal, earning a 7.0 match rating, and winning the match. That’s hard to accomplish in such a short time.
This is where training comes into play. Training is the easiest way to earn favor. You can also earn XP, which translates to skill points, as well. Every seven days, you can do three training sessions. Once you’ve done the highest-earning sessions and earned the highest grade, you can simulate them for instant XP and favor.
Every week, you can increase your standing and earn more minutes. With more minutes, you have a much better chance of playing better and eventually making it into the lineup. This is a big part of FC’s authenticity.
If you simulate games or skip training, your favor can decrease. If your simulated game doesn’t meet the coach’s goals, you will lose favor and can then be relegated to the bench once more. The first time you make it into the lineup, a special animation will play.
This is the same whether you play in Spain, France, Germany, England, Liga F, Frauen Bundesliga, or anywhere else.
