EA Sports FC 24 is primed for a release at the end of September. However, for those who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of the game, there is a week’s length of early access. In general, this, combined with the fact that the game is slated for a midnight local time release, usually means that players can get a game early via the New Zealand trick. Is that the case for EA FC?

Can I use the New Zealand trick on EA Sports FC 24?
Yes, the New Zealand trick will work for EA Sports FC 24, but only for Xbox consoles. The Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S allow the trick, but it will not work for PlayStation. Those on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PC, and PlayStation 4 are out of luck.
To do this on Xbox, follow these instructions:
- Open the Settings menu on your Xbox.
- Navigate to the System tab.
- Choose Language & Location.
- Change your console’s location to New Zealand.
- Restart your Xbox.
- Once the console loads, the game should be available. You can open it from there and begin playing.
At the time of writing, it was 8:01am in New Zealand, which means the game was officially live. It was released at midnight, so players in that region, as well as those who used the New Zealand trick, have access to the game. It will continue to be released at midnight in local regions, so you can use the above method with other locations, like Australia, that get to September 29 earlier than your own. Check the timezone you want to enter first.
It’s advised to restore your region to the accurate one after you’re done. Wait until September 29 officially arrives, though. Otherwise, you will lose access to the game until then. Players could do this with seven days of early access, but the official release date is tomorrow.
However, you can use the New Zealand trick then as well. If you want to play it on September 28, follow the above steps at around 8am EST (which is midnight in New Zealand) and start your FC journey. The actual release is not for a few more hours since it is still Thursday in most locations. Nevertheless, you can get the new era of FC early this way.
An EA Play subscription also offers a 10-hour free trial before launch time, but that doesn’t impact the NZ trick. The release times vary per time zone, but those 10 hours would be almost the same as using the New Zealand time trick.
