A new EA Sports PGA Tour doesn’t come round very often anymore, so it really feels like an event in the calendar for any fans of the sport. With Early Access already being live, and the full release on the horizon the anticipation will be at an all time high. 

In recent years fans have begun to crack a way to play some games early, by setting their time zone to New Zealand. Most recently this worked with Resident Evil 4 Remake, however it isn’t always guaranteed to work. Modern Warfare 2 is a recent example where the developer had successfully figured out how to block this.

Does New Zealand trick work for EA Sports PGA Tour?

According to a Reddit thread it appears as though this trick does work on Xbox Series S|X. It is currently not known if it works on PS5, but it most likely doesn’t as it often works on Xbox and not on PS5. 

This means that, if true, Xbox fans will be able to get the game earlier than those on other consoles.

Midnight in New Zealand equates to the following times:

• 07:00 EST
• 11:00 GMT
• 04:00 PDT

It is worth noting EA Sports PGA Tour is not available on the previous generation of consoles, or the Nintendo Switch. 

How to do EA Sports PGA Tour New Zealand Trick on Xbox? 

Please follow these steps to do the New Zealand trick for Xbox.

• Turn on the Xbox 
• Select Settings and then Click System
• Head to Language and Location
• Change Location to New Zealand
• You’ll then need to reset Xbox console

That’s it. For the rest of you, you’ll need to wait until midnight in your region to play the game.
