Exoprimal is one of Capcom’s latest games that has you entering exosuits and taking on massive dinosaur swarms. This dino survival game was shown off during the Capcom showcase, revealing much of the game’s combat and gameplay.

You will be accompanied by Leviathan, a powerful AI, as you use humanity’s cutting-edge exosuit technology to take down some of history’s most ferocious beasts. Exoprimal has many team-based action game modes for you and your friends to try out.

Throughout the game, you will encounter multiple PvP and PvE missions where you must complete objectives and fight against a common enemy. This game is coming to everything from the PlayStation to PC. There is even talk about it being on Xbox Game Pass, but can Exoprimal be played offline or do you need an internet connection?

Does Exoprimal require an internet connection?

Yes. Exoprimal does require an internet connection to play and can therefore not be played offline. Checking the various stores the game can be downloaded from, each states that you need an online membership as well for the platform you are playing on.

This means that if you are playing the game on Xbox Series X, you will need an active Xbox Live membership. You will also need a PlayStation Plus membership if you plan on playing on PlayStation. This was the case for the demo and the second open beta test as well.

Exoprimal is an online-only game because it focuses on 10-player co-op missions that require you to connect to other players. If you want to take on the savage gauntlet of dinos and tear down every roadblock, be sure to be online.

In exoprimal, you will pilot different exosuit variants with some being tank-focused and others being assault-focused. For instance, the Zephyr exosuit is more focused on hand-to-hand combat while the Deadeye exosuit is more focused on medium and long-range combat. Nimbus, on the other hand, plays more of a healing role and will shield allies.

Since this is an online game, you can expect there to be more than one Survival Pass Season with a normal and premium tier. This will unlock various exosuit skins. As shown in the trailers, with Leviathan’s guidance, you will fight back against the dino hordes and save humanity.
