Exoprimal, the dino survival game from Capcom where you team up using cutting-edge exosuits to combat the extinction of the human race, was finally released this July.

If you’re thinking of picking the game up, you’ll definitely want to check out what editions there are, whether Exoprimal is next-gen only, and what the reviews are for the game.

Have no fear, we’ve got all the information you need in our Exoprimal review round up.

Review Round Up for Exoprimal

Because the game is still brand new, reviews are still coming in, but for now, Exoprimal is generally staying around the 60s, with the game receiving these scores:

  • Gamereactor UK – 6/10
  • EarlyGame – no score given, but review is somewhat positive
  • GGRecon – no score given, review in progress, but kind of positive

We’ll continue to add more to this list as more reviews are released, but for now, we just have the one from Gamereactor UK as the only full review out.

Exoprimal hovering around the 60 mark for reviews is not bad, but points are lost for repetitive gameplay and the lack of modes available to actually progress in the game. PvE is the main focus of the game, shooting down hordes and hordes of raptors and triceratops as well as mutant prehistoric monsters, but reviewers say this can get stale and feels like busywork.

The final round of PvP is the highlight for many who have played, but this is not enough to make up for the endless dinosaurs that you had to fight in all the missions before it.

Exoprimal has you take the role of a heroic pilot of the exosuits, of which there are three different roles: Assault, Tank, and Support. Fans got a taste of the game during the open beta test that took place in June, and now the full release is here for platforms including PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

You can join in on the dinosaur battle now, and check out the gameplay mechanics and story with your squad for yourself.
