The Fortnite Refer a Friend program has returned!
You can register with your friends between July 19, 2022, at 5 AM ET and January 10, 2023, at 11:59 ET. Remember, while you can refer up to five people, each participant can only earn a reward once.
The Refer a Friend programme means you can earn awesome in-game rewards by completing tasks.
Here’s how to refer a friend on Fortnite:
- Sign up on the Refer a Friend website with your Epic account.
- Invite up to five eligible friends via the website (as further described below) to play Fortnite.
- Complete in-game tasks together.
- Earn rewards, including the new Xander Outfit.
As per the Epic website, “Once registered and logged into the Refer a Friend website, “referrers” can invite friends (“referees”) to earn points by playing Fortnite together.
“In order to be a referee, a player must have played less than two hours of a Fortnite Battle Royale or Zero Build playlist (i.e., Solo, Duos, Trios, or Squads) within the past 30 days before the invite.”
Referrers and referees can earn points as outlined on the program’s sign-up page.
There are lots of was to earn points.
You can play a match in Fortnite together, earn eliminations in Battle Royale and/or Zero Build, or level up your Fortnite account. Remember, if you participate in the program as a referrer, you will not be able to later participate as a referee (and vice versa).
Epic states: “Both referrers and referees need to be friends in-game to participate in this program. Only referrers need to register on the program website, but referees can still register if they would like to check their own progress.
“Follow the challenges and track progress on the Refer a Friend website until challenge goals are met. Once a goal is met, the referrer and referee will receive its associated reward.”
