How to unlock Prowler Fortnite skin — All Prowler quests
Get ready to Smash and Slash with The Prowler Fortnite skin
After some confusion earlier in the season, The Prowler is finally here thanks to update 20.20 today, April 29, 2022. Here are all the quests you’ll need to complete to unlock the new Prowler Fortnite skin.
The Prowler continues Fortnite’s long-running collaboration with Marvel, and more specifically with the Spider-Man comic books series, following the hero’s spotlight in last Season’s Battle Pass. While the Daily Bugle remained part of the Fortnite map for Chapter 3, Season 2, this season’s main Spidey crossover comes in the form of the Prowler skin and items, teased since the season’s start. The skin’s unlock date was incorrect at the start of the season, and fans had to wait longer than expected for the unlock, but that day finally comes on April 19, 2022, as all Prowler quests become available. No doubt you’ll start seeing multiples of the prolific thief appearing in matches almost immediately. If you want to be one of them, here’s everything you need to know about unlocking the new Marvel Fortnite skin by completing Prowler quests.
All Prowler challenges and rewards
Following our earlier guide based on Fortnite leaks, we can now confirm that the Prowler quests are as follows:
- Headshot three opponents with a thermal weapon — Mark of the Prowler weapon wrap
- Use a Spray at the Daily Bugle — Prowler Tag Spray
- Collect 300 Gold Bars — On the Prowl Loading Screen
- Collect three different weapon types of Epic rarity or higher in one match — Prowler Banner Icon
- Search seven Chests in a single match before taking any damage — Sky Prowler Glider
- Mod a vehicle, then drive it 500 meters in a single match — Prowler’s Grasp Emoticon
- Deal 500 damage to opponents while crouched or sliding — Energy Claw Harvesting Tool
- Complete three Prowler quests — Prowler Outfit
- Complete seven Prowler quests — Slash and Smash Emote
Thankfully, these are all pretty self-explanatory. The most difficult will likely be “Collect three different weapon types of Epic rarity or higher in a single match”. We’ve had the chance to test this out now, and can confirm that buying a Epic or higher rarity item (including Exotic) from a Character does count towards this quest. What’s more, upgrading an item to Epic or higher at an Upgrade Bench also counts. Be warned, though, upgrading the same item to Epic rarity, then to Legendary does not count twice. You do only need to complete three challenges to get the Prowler Outfit, though, so if you’re not too fussed about earning the Slash and Smash Emote, you don’t need to complete every quest.
Don’t forget, when it comes to Fortnite challenges, “opponent” includes AI characters, so IO Guards are the perfect target to completing any quests that involve damaging “opponents.” Thankfully, there aren’t any in the Prowler quests, but if the challenge specifically requires you to battle another player, it will mention “another player”, rather than “opponent.”
When do the Fortnite Prowler Quests unlock?
You’ll be able to see, and start completing, all Fortnite Prowler quests from 6am PDT/9am EDT/2pm BST/3pm CET on April 19, 2022.
