Pac-Man Fortnite leak seemingly confirmed

A previous leak suggesting that we may see some Pac-Man items in Fortnite has apparently been confirmed by a Japanese website. However, the Fortnite x Pac-Man collaboration is yet to be announced by Epic Games.
It was the hungry yellow blob’s birthday on May 22, 2022, and Epic Games once again got the Twittersphere tweeting by wishing Pac-Man a happy birthday from the Fortnite Twitter account.
While, of course, this could be an innocent enough gesture within the gaming industry, Fortnite fans immediately took it as a hint of an upcoming crossover with the 22-year-old arcade legend. As it turns out, they might have been right, as leakers have discovered an apparent confirmation on the Japanese Pac-Man website.
Fortnite x Pac-Man confirmed?
Pacman’s Japanese website has released an update stating that “The collaboration between the online games Fortnite and Pac-Man will start on June 2nd!” Weirdly, this is just the day before the new Season launches, which is a bit of a strange time to start a new line of licensed skins. Could it hint at some Season 3 Battle Pass involvement for Pac-Man?
Fortnite’s Pac-Man collaboration — what to expect
Now, it’s very unlikely that we’ll get a Pac-Man skin as such. While the likes of the Giddy-Up and Guff Outfits are fairly chunky, Pac-Man’s circular body doesn’t really lend itself to a Fortnite skin.
Instead, it’s possible that we’ll get something akin to the recent Wu-Tang Clan collaboration, in which the Hip-Hop group’s logo appeared on virtual hoodies, sweatpants and more. There’s certainly room for Harvesting Tools, Emoticons and Gliders… and you’d better believe we want an Inky, Pinky, Blinky and Clyde appearance.
When is the Fortnite x Pac-Man crossover coming?
Well, if we can believe the post on the Japanese site, which there’s really no reason not to, Pac-Man comes to Fortnite on June 2, 2022. Again, this is the day before the Season 2 finale event, taking place on June 3.
