Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 feature Battle Passes – that typically arrive at the start of every season. These Battle Passes bring about a load of content, from new operators and maps, to weapons, game modes, skins, and more. The base Battle Pass is free to all players, however, you’re able to upgrade to a full Battle Pass for a price.

So, how long do they typically last? And with MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 3 on the way, when is the Season 2 battle pass set to end? Here’s everything you need to know.

How long does a Battle Pass last in MW2 and Warzone?

Typically, seasons in Call of Duty last two months – with a ‘Reloaded’ update in the middle of them to keep things feeling fresh. This is the case with Season 5, with the MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 5: Reloaded date still unknown. The BlackCell Battle Pass Bundle, the premium battle pass for MW2 and Warzone, also lasts this long.

With each new season, a battle pass is added – which in the case of MW2 and Warzone means a new Battle Pass map for you to unlock a number of rewards. The Battle Pass map is made up of 20 Sectors, and each Sector contains five rewards – ranging from weapons to Double XP tokens. To progress, you need to claim all five rewards with Battle Token Tier Skips to unlock new Sectors. To unlock these sectors, you’ll need Battle Pass tokens that are earned as you play through the game (or can also be purchased). There is no new battle pass when a Reloaded update comes out, so you can save your CoD Points.

Call of Duty Battle Passes tend to last two months – and you can tell when it’s going to end by checking the in-game countdown clock. How long it takes to complete the battle pass map is up to you, but estimates range from 3 weeks of solid playing (two hours per day) to complete the map, all the way up to a couple of months, for more casual players who are short on time.

In the case of Season 5, we predict the season will end in October, although there is no official end date yet, and so will bring with it a new Battle Pass. It’s also worth noting that, as per the official website, at the end of each season, any unspent Battle Token Tier Skips will be auto-spent on remaining Battle Pass rewards along a pre-set path to complete the Battle Map – so if you do run out time, you don’t need to worry. Also, any extra Battle Token Tier Skips that are not auto-spent will carry over to the next season.
