High on Life is the new title from Justin Roiland’s – creator of Rick and Morty – game veloping studio, Squanch Games. High on Life has been doing the rounds on social media at the moment with clips of the cynical, absurdist and funny dialogue. With Roiland’s last game project, Trover Saves the Universe only taking around 8 hours to beat, fans who are thinking of getting this new one might be wondering how long does it take to beat High on Life?

High on Life length and time to beat

This single-player title has different variations of play-styles: main story, main+extras and completionist. We’ll take you through how long each of these takes for High on Life.

Overall, we feel that High on life should take around 13-15 hours to complete if you’re casually playing, yet not purposefully missing things to complete it fast.

The main story, without any of the trimmings, extras or exhausted dialogue should take anywhere from 8-9 hours to complete. That is quite a lot considering you’re not going to be exploring the game in it’s entirety.

The main+extras, which includes the main storyline and then the extra puzzles, quests and wacky interactions with NPCs is on average 12-13 hours long. This will get you a good amount of great paced story, and fun little side missions.

The completionist route, is as the name suggests, a completion of the whole game. So, as a whole, High on Life in its complete, 100% for should take you anything from 17-25 hours to complete. This will ensure you’re not missing out on any little details or funny, one off encounters.

How to tell whether you’re buying the right Xbox Games this Christmas

This game can often mess with time and can often make you waste it. For instance, when hunting Douglas, you have the option to wait a full hour (real time) for a door to finally, yet it breaks before it finally does.
