How to activate the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

If you want to get a better look at the map in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you will want to find all of the Skyview Towers. Each one that you find will show you part of the map that you can’t see.
Not all of the Skyview Towers are easy to activate. Some of them require you to solve puzzles or take a different approach. Sometimes, you need to go underground. This guide will show you how to activate the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower is located to the southeast of Lookout Landing. It is also very close to where Kakariko Village is located on the map and south of the Lanayru Wetlands. The tower is positioned on a large cliff. Be careful, there are monsters in the area that can launch you off the cliff.

When you reach the tower, you will see a member of the Rito race named Billson standing outside the front door. He will tell you that the door has been jammed and can’t figure out how to open it. He will also ask you to get some mushrooms from the cave beneath the tower.
Go to the right of the entrance and jump down the hill to find a large boulder blocking the entrance to the cave. You will need to use the Fuse ability to make a weapon capable of destroying the boulder. After entering the cave, it should appear on your mini map.
With the boulder destroyed, head into the cave and you will see more boulders waiting to be smashed. Start destroying the boulders and you will see two routes. Head to the right if you want to finish the puzzle quickly.
If you head to the left, you will run into some large monsters. You will also get your hands on some good loot so it is worth the detour if your inventory is low.
Follow the path to the right and stick to the right side to find a smaller room with a large gray boulder blocking a hole in the wall. You can use the Ultrahand to fuse the boulder to a weapon if you need another one.
Use ascend in this smaller cave room to launch yourself through the ceiling and into the tower. If you choose, you can move the boulder to access an alcove with a Bubbulfrog. You can get yourself another Bubbul Gem here.
After using ascend to access the tower, you will see two long sticks on the sides of the door. Remove the sticks and then interact with the pedestal to open the doors. You will now be able to activate the tower and unlock this part of the map.
