Nala wants your help altering the valley to make it a more suitable habitat for a lion. It is a pretty reasonable request since you now have three lions roaming around Dreamlight Valley. Talk to Nala and see what her vision of a perfect biome would be. Change up one of the valley biomes to make it the perfect lounging area for your lion residents. Here is how you complete Staking Your Territory in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Staking Your Territory quest guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Staking Your Territory is Nala’s second quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. To unlock it, you first need to raise Nala’s friendship level to level two. After this, talk to Nala to start the Staking Your Territory quest. This quest comes after you unlock Nala by completing the Eyes in the Dark quest. Talk to Nala and she will ask you to place down a couple of items on Dazzle Beach; landscaping furniture and Scar’s Lounging Rock.
If you don’t have Scar’s Lounging Rock or want a second one, you can purchase it from Scrooge’s catalog. Once you have the Lounging Rock, place it along with several landscape items on Dazzle Beach. Keep in mind that moving items that are already placed doesn’t count as it does for Scrooge’s quests. Once you have placed all the necessary items, talk to Nala.
Nala will now ask you to dress up in rustic clothing. Go into your clothing menu and select Nala’s quest to see all of the clothing options available. You will also need to put on a mustache. Once you are done changing clothes, meet Nala on the beach to get some pouncing lessons. After the lesson, Nala will ask you to teach her how to fish.

Show Nala how to fish by collecting common, uncommon, and rare fish around the valley. Remember, white nodes are for common fish, blue nodes are for uncommon fish, and orange nodes are for rare fish. With all the fish caught, return to Nala and she will ask you to make a meal for her. For this step, you simply need to make any fish meal for her. We recommend the following since they are easy to make:
- Marinated Herring
- Carp Salad
- Cheesy Crispy Baked Cod
- Fish Pie
- Fish Sandwich
Once you have made a meal for Nala, bring it to her. After a brief conversation, the quest will be complete.
