You will get plenty of requests from the merchant as you make your way through the Resident Evil 4 Remake. These requests will get you Spinel that you can then trade for some extra items. One of the many requests that the merchant has for you is to deface Ramon Salazar’s portrait. For this request, you will need to backtrack and do a bit of searching. Your only clue to the whereabouts of the portrait is the image attached to the request. Here is how you deface Ramon Salazar in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

How to complete the Disgrace of the Salazar Family request in Resident Evil 4 Remake

Chapter 12 begins as you ride the elevator back up to the surface and escape the mines. Once you reach the top of the elevator, you will be next to the gondola in the castle. On the wall across from the gondola will be two request forms with one of them being for the Disgrace of the Salazar Family request. After grabbing the request, go through the large double iron doors in the back into the ballroom.

The location you need to reach for the request is the throne room. You may recognize the image from earlier in the game when Leon is knocked down the large whole in the center of the room. Make your way to the throne room. When you reach the antechamber, you will have multiple enemies waiting for you. After defeating them, continue into the throne room.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Salazar Portrait

Head to the back of the throne room and look to the left. You will see a portrait of Ramon Salazar on the wall. To deface the portrait, you have two options; wait for the chicken in the room to lay an egg or use the Cubic Device to unlock the wayshrine in the room and get the golden egg. Once you have an egg, simply toss it at Ramon’s portrait and the request will be complete. You can now track down the crow that stole the merchant’s scratched emerald.
