How to solve the PC crashing issue in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

There are many reasons that a game can crash whether it be because the CPU gets overwhelmed or corrupted game files. We will look to fix some of the most common issues and get your game up and running.

How to verify your game files

For starters, you can verify the game files. This will let you know if your game has a corrupted file. If it does, you can simply uninstall the game and reinstall it to fix the issue. Keep in mind that you will need to go through a slightly different process on Steam Deck. To verify your files through Steam, perform the following steps:

• Go to your game library
• Right-click on Jedi Survivor
• Select Properties
• Go to Local Files on the menu that appears
• Select Verify Integrity of Game Files

Once you have completed the above steps, Steam will run through the verification process. This may take a few minutes but not as long as hunting down a Scavenger Droid in the game.

If you downloaded the game through the EA storefront, follow these steps to verify your game files:

• Go to your game library
• Hover over the game and select the three-dot icon that appears
• Select Properties
• Verify your game files

Update your graphics card drivers

Outside of verifying your game files, you should always be keeping your graphics drivers up to date. To check for updates, you can use the program belonging to your driver. For instance, Nvidia cards typically use Geforce Experience to update the drivers and adjust them for specific games.

An alternate method of checking your graphics drivers is:

• Press Windows Key + R to open the dialogue box
• Type DxDiag
• Let the diagnostic tool run

After the diagnostic tool is done running, it will tell you if you need to update your drivers. Make sure to also check the game’s PC system requirements and make sure you are playing on the best graphics settings for your system.
