Jedi Survivor best graphics settings: Star Wars: Jedi Survivor is here, with gamers around the world currently playing Cal Kestis’ latest adventure. As per the previous game Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, Survivor brings with it a ton of graphics options.

While the PC version of the game features the most extensive list of graphics customization, there’s still a few options available for those playing on the console. We detail what graphics modes are available to PS5 users in our Jedi Survivor graphics mode guide – but what one should you use? The team here has been playing the game, and it’s clear there’s a winner. Let’s dive in.

Jedi Survivor best graphics settings PC

The game launched with some issues and gathered a lot of negative reviews upon its release. There are some pretty bizzare errors coming through, including this one that crops up if you miss certain story elements. With plenty of performance issues, it does mean you may consider having to change the graphics settings on the page. And Respawn has commented on the fact its only particular users have that experience, with a particular pairing of high-end low-end hardware or with a certain OS.

Best setting for low-end or performance struck PC

Right now, the best options for graphics settings are to set everything to the lowest option. The display settings can be set to low to try and recover some of the framerate that the game seems to be lacking currently. You may also want to avoid the likes of ray tracing. This will only tank the gameplay even more, and with the already low graphical fidelity of the low options, it will mean there won’t be too much to enjoy anyway. But you also want to turn on FSR, which will run the game lower and upscale it to your resolution, so it might look worse off but might help the performance. Here are our recommended settings:

  • Resolution: 1920 x 1080
  • Window Mode: Fullscreen
  • Graphics Quality: Custom
  • View Distance: Medium
  • Shadow Quality: Medium
  • Anti-Aliasing: Medium
  • Texture Quality: Low
  • Visual Effects: Low
  • Post Processing: Low
  • Foliage Detail: Medium
  • Field of View: Medium
  • VSync: Off
  • AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2: Performance
  • Brightness: 3
  • Motion Blur: Off
  • Film Grain: Off
  • Chromatic Aberration: Off
  • Camera Shake: 75%
  • Ambient Camera Sway: 0%
  • Hide HUD: Off

Switching everything to low does seem to stabilize performance at a cost of visual fidelity – that’s until another patch comes out

With the expected performance patches, there will be some better options available out there. And then you can actually play around with the fidelity of the games. Although with the high system requirements of Star Wars Jedi Survivor, it might be a bit harder to run than expected.

Best settings for high-end and no issues

Now if you’re gaming on something on at least the recommended, like the 2070 or RX 6700 XT, you’ll be able to crank up the performance. At the top range, if you’re running something like a 4090, you should be able to have nothing holding you back. With ray tracing, epic at 4k is a good possibility. But you might have to wait till it’s patched before being able to have that enjoyment.

  • Resolution: 3840×2160
  • Window Mode: Fullscreen
  • Graphics Quality: Custom
  • View Distance: High
  • Shadow Quality: High
  • Anti-Aliasing: High
  • Texture Quality: High
  • Visual Effects: High
  • Post Processing: High
  • Foliage Detail: High
  • Field of View: Widest
  • VSync: Off
  • AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2: Off
  • Brightness: 3
  • Motion Blur: Off
  • Film Grain: Off
  • Chromatic Aberration: Off
  • Camera Shake: 75%
  • Ambient Camera Sway: 0%
  • Hide HUD: Off

Jedi Survivor best graphics settings PS5 and Xbox

As we detail in our Jedi Survivor graphics mode guide, PS5 users have the option to run the game at a higher visual fidelity at a cost to frame rate (Fidelity mode) or Performance mode, which lowers the fidelity but increases the frame rate. The former targets 30 FPS, while the latter targets a stable 60. The PS5 version of the game does not achieve a stable 60 FPS in Performance Mode. However, with the Day One patch currently being installed, we’re hoping that will be addressed – and will report back.

As well as Performance and Fidelity mode, the PS5 version has a number of other options we recommend tweaking image taken by BGFG

Once it is fixed, we strongly recommend using Performance Mode on Jedi Survivor. Despite the visuals taking a slight hit, from the team’s playthrough so far, this is absolutely worth it to experience fluid combat. However, when you’re looking to use photo mode, turning on high fidelity, which enables a form of ray tracing, will lead to a far more impressive image. Below, we’ve taken screenshots of the game using both settings so you can see for yourself.

Elsewhere we recommend tweaking the following in the ‘Visuals’ tab in the menu. This reduces the amount of on-screen noise and improves gameplay fluidity and clarity.

  • Motion blur: Off
  • Film Grain: Off
  • Chromatic Aberration: Off
  • Camera shake: 100%
  • Ambient camera sway: 0%
  • Hide HUD: Off

By disabling motion blur and film grain, you’ll achieve a much sharper-looking image that loses some of the cinematic feel but ultimately makes the game easier to play for longer periods of time. This combined with Performance mode does degrade the overall ‘look’ of the game, but it’s certainly worth it if you want fluid combat. Make no mistake, though, Jedi Survivor is a stunning-looking game. When we get our hands on the PC version of the game we’ll update this article and provide the best possible setup for budget and high-end PCs.

Jedi Survivor PS5 performance

It’s worth noting that during our playthrough we are experiencing some performance issues. This will likely be addressed in an upcoming patch, so the settings above are our attempt at trying to alleviate as many of these issues as possible until another patch does arrive. Our playthrough of Jedi Survivor has seen some inconsistent framerate dips, and we have also experienced crashes that require the game to restart. We have screenshotted one such crash below – so if this happens to you, just know you won’t be the only one.

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor is playable but during our playthrough, we have experienced a number of framerate dips and crashes – which we are confident will be fixed in an imminent patch

There will be fixes on the way, so we advise holding fire, hanging tight, and trusting a lot of the PS5 performance issues will be fixed as quickly as possible.

Jedi Survivor best graphics settings: Final word

In conclusion, Star Wars: Jedi Survivor provides a range of graphics customization options that can help tailor the gameplay experience to your hardware. For low-end or performance-struck PCs, we recommend using the lowest graphic options, such as low resolution, medium view distance and shadow quality, and low texture quality, to help stabilize performance at the cost of visual fidelity.

On the other hand, for high-end PCs with no issues, you can crank up the graphics to high or epic settings, with ray tracing and high-quality textures to provide a visually stunning experience.

As for console users, PS5 users have the option to choose between Fidelity mode, which provides high visual fidelity, and Performance mode, which prioritizes stable frame rates, while Xbox users have a single graphics mode option.

While Performance mode may result in slightly lower visuals, it is recommended to experience fluid combat. For those who want to use photo mode, turning on high fidelity can lead to a more impressive image. With these graphics customization options, gamers can have a more personalized experience playing Star Wars: Jedi Survivor. We hope our Jedi survivor best graphics settings article helped you.
