Star Wars: Jedi Survivor’s launch has not gone as smoothly as EA would have liked. The publisher was forced to release a statement admitting the game was not up to the standard they had hoped for. On PC, there have been issues with performance and on PS5, HDR simply does not work without causing major issues to the quality of the image.

The good news is that we do have a few fixes – and whatever platform you’re playing on, you may want to check out our best settings for Jedi Survivor. There is also a patch on the way – although when it’s set to arrive is still a mystery.

However, just as we thought things couldn’t get stranger, we came across perhaps the weirdest error message yet. The message, which found its way onto Twitter appears to highlight to the gamer who found it that because they bypassed certain ‘story elements’ the game may not work as expected. It gives the gamer a choice to continue but says ‘Things will likely be broken’.

The bizarre error message, which was posted on Twitter

It recommends for the gamer not continue and instead ‘load from the last good save’. Sadly loading the last ‘good save’ doesn’t seem to work, and as one person wrote: “Still getting the same error message over and over again. Tried a fresh save, relaunching the game, and rebooting the console. Nothing.”

The error is not only another one to add to a growing list of errors and improvements EA will need to make to Jedi Survivor, but it also has massive implications for those looking to speed run the game. A majority of speed runs rely on skipping key story elements, however, if this breaks the game, any speed run of Jedi Survivor will likely be doomed.

We hope that this error is addressed as part of the day one patch – but as it seems to have been discovered recently, chances are we may have to wait a while before we see a stable speed-run of Jedi Survivor.

Final Word

The launch of Star Wars: Jedi Survivor has not gone smoothly, with issues such as poor performance on PC and HDR problems on PS5. However, there are some fixes available, and a patch is on the way.

Adding to the list of problems is a bizarre error message that warns gamers about bypassing story elements and advises them to load from the last good save, but even that doesn’t seem to work.

This error has major implications for those attempting to speed run the game, as skipping key story elements could break the game. Hopefully, EA will address this error soon and include it in the day one patch, but for now, speed runs of Jedi Survivor may have to wait.

FAQs

Can you speed run Jedi Survivor?

Right now it seems possible to speed run but with some hitched. Skipping story parts will bring up the unexpected error that can dismissed, but will seem to interrupt any attermpts.
