Capcom’s long running fighting game classic, the Street Fighter series, returns in Street Fighter 6. Keeping plenty of fan-favorite modes and characters, while also adding new game modes, new fighters, and the single-player story mode World Tour, the franchise is keeping plenty of fans hooked. You’ll need to save up plenty of currency to unlock everything though, but what is the currency? Is Fight Money from Street Fighter V making its return?
Is there Fight Money in Street Fighter 6?
The answer is no, but in a way. It will go by a different name. Let us explain – there are two in-game currencies used for Street Fighter 6;
- Drive Tickets
- Fight Coins
Drive Tickets serve as the replacement for Fight Money, as they function similarly to Fight Money by earning the tickets and using them to buy customization options for your avatar.
You can earn Drive Tickets by completing in-game challenges, both daily and weekly. Special events will also be held to earn more Drive Tickets.
Fight Coin can be purchased with real money that acts as premium currency. For example, one hat in the Hubs Good Shop can be worth 600 Drive Tickets, but only 30 Fight Coins. Drive Tickets cannot be purchased with real money, they can only be earned in game by grinding out gameplay and completing challenges.
You can tell the difference between Fight Coins and Drive Tickets not only by value, but by their symbol and color as well. Fight Coin will be a green F in a coin shape, while Drive Tickets are a purple D in a ticket shape.
Will there be Fight Money in Street Fighter 6
No, there will not be any Fight Money in Street Fighter 6 due to Drive Tickets replacing it as the in-game currency earned through gameplay. Drive Tickets and Fight Coins are the only currency in Street Fighter 6.
