How to get heart containers in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
Link’s health is represented by the hearts in the top left of the screen. When he runs out of them, he dies and your progress will go back to the last save point. You can collect heart containers that increase Link’s maximum hearts to beef up the hero of Hyrule.
To get more hearts, here’s what you need to do:
- Find a shrine
- Solve whatever puzzle or beat whatever enemy is inside
- You’ll receive a Light of Blessing from Rauru
- Collect 4 Light of Blessing to exchange for a heart container at any Goddess statue
This will add another heart to Link’s max amount of hearts, and the stat allows him to take more blows before dying and getting the dreaded game over screen.
What else can you get in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Besides heart containers, Link can also choose to receive extra stamina vessels, which will increase his stamina wheel capacity so he can run, swim or climb longer. A stamina container costs 4 blessings as well. The first Goddess Statue that you run into in the Temple of Time in the Great Sky Island will only give you a heart container as part of hte main quest though, so you’ll need to search the land of Hyrule below for more shrines to get stamina.
Getting more hearts is crucial to restoring Link’s vitality after losing it to the gloom in the depths of Hyrule’s castle by the mummified corpse that kicks off the story.
