Enter the Lion King realm and talk to Nala. She will tell you that Simba is lost deeper in the jungle and that you need to cross the river the reach him. The only problem is that you can’t simply walk across the river. You need to make a bridge and the only viable option is a massive log overlooking the gap. Your tools are going to come in handy for this. Here is how you lower the log in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

How to cross the river in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Once you gain access to the Lion King Realm, you will start the Eyes in the Dark quest. During this quest, you will get many objectives like helping to scare the hyenas off, finding Simba, and crafting a tasty Bug Platter. While most of the objectives are pretty easy to complete, some can be a bit tricky since there is no obvious direction to completing them. Lowering the log, for instance, is just one of the objectives you need to complete so that you can cross the river.

Lowering the log is much more simple than it seems, but there is a bug that can prevent you from being able to complete this task. If this happens, simply walk out of the realm and walk back in to fix it. If that doesn’t work, you may need to restart your game. To lower the log, go across the river using the small bit of land beneath where the log is perched. Look under the log and you will see a large rock.

Use your pickaxe on the large rock like you would if it was a rock in the valley. This will allow you to destroy the rock, causing the log to fall. You will get a brief cutscene showing the log falling and forming a bridge. Now you can safely walk across the river. Just don’t fall in.
