Do you want to take control of droids by hacking them in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor? In Fallen Order, you could pull prob droids to you, hack them, and have them fight for you for a short while. This made combat interesting and gave you an edge.
In Jedi Survivor, you can perform the same maneuver but only after you have unlocked specific items. This means you won’t be hacking droids while on Coruscant at the start of the game. This guide will show you how to stun and hack droids in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.
How to stun droids in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
There are multiple ways that you can briefly stun droids while in combat. Using your Force powers such as Force Slow will allow you to hold off enemy attacks for a short while. Damaging some droids like the B2 droids enough will cause them to fall down for a short while as well.
A guaranteed way to stun most droids is to purchase the Stun Shot ability from Caij after you unlock the ability to collect Bounty Pucks. You can equip the Stun Shot ability at a Meditation Point or workbench after purchasing it from Caij.
While in combat, make sure you have the Blaster Stance equipped. Use your Stun Shot ability and all droids caught by the blast will be temporarily stunned. Keep in mind that the Stun Shot ability doesn’t work on more sophisticated droids and large enemies such as the Rancor.
How to hack droids in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
If you want to hack droids in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you will need to go to Caij’s shop once again. She will sell the hacking ability to you for three different droid types; B1, B2, and Prob Droids.
Hacking droids is very simple, all you need to do is damage them during battle and use BD-1 to slice the droids. This will make them work for you for a short time. You can activate BD-1 by pressing Down on the D-Pad on a controller or the R Key if you are using a keyboard.
