Dead Island 2 is finally coming soon after many years of an ambiguous hiatus. The good news is that it supports co-op gameplay, and we at WePC think the game is a lot of fun, having played it extensively for our Dead Island 2 review. But what about crossplay? Is Dead Island 2 Cross-play?

Currently, as it stands, Dambuster has confirmed Dead Island 2 will not have cross–play. This was confirmed through their technical FAQ, which may be a shame to fans of the game. Particularly for fans who are planning to get the game on platforms such as PC, who won’t be able to play with friends who are getting it on a console. But given the trend of other such big-name, modern multiplayer games, we hold out a lot of hope and semi-expectations that Dead Island 2 will offer cross play in the future, through an update or possible expansion.

With it being confirmed that cross-play is not coming to Dead Island 2, is the game cross-platform?
