With the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom so close, many are curious if it will be available on more platforms than just the Switch. While it is uncommon for Nintendo to release their major titles outside of their own consoles, there is always a chance they could. Let’s go over if The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released on the Xbox Game Pass.
Will The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Be Releasing On Game Pass?
Sadly, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will not be released on Xbox Game Pass. While this is not too unexpected by many, there was a lot of buzz about possibly being able to play The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on PC so fans thought it could come to Xbox Game Pass by extension.
While this is a tragic loss and will make modding the game much harder it still doesn’t take away from all the massive changes that will be coming with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Not only do we have a whole new story that needs to be answered with more questions popping up after each trailer. Like what is happening with the Master Sword and if it will be useable in-game. But we also have so many new powers to play around with and explore.
From what has been shown about Link’s new abilities, we don’t really need to worry about modding the game being harder. A lot of Link’s powers, like the Recall ability, will give us tons of sandbox-like powers to explore and play around with.
While it is a huge letdown to have The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom be locked to just the Switch instead of releasing on multiple platforms, it is standard practice for Nintendo. Though fans will still have a fun time exploring the new world that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has to offer.
