After the elected president of Grand Chien goes missing, mercenaries from the powerful Adonis Corporation are called in. In Jagged Alliance 3, you control mercenaries and use their best perks as they try to fight back against the enemy forces on Grand Chien.

This tactical turn-based combat game requires you to command various characters like Steroid, Vicki, Igor, Grizzly, Fidel, Reaper, Magic, Gus, Barry, Ivan, and many others. Each of these marks has different backgrounds and abilities. Some bonuses allow you to get free movement while others grant your mercs increased crit chance or more melee damage.

You will want to pick the best mercs for the job and choose the best weapons for them. There are many stats and attributes to focus on that will increase a merc’s accuracy or dexterity, but a merc is nothing without their perks. Here are some of the best perks in Jagged Alliance 3.

Jagged Alliance 3 – Best Perks

There are a lot of perks in Jagged Alliance 3 that you can spend your attribute points on. Some perks will increase your grit while others will grant you additional melee attacks or increased damage with firearms. Some of the best perks to get are:

  2. Dire Warning
  3. Full Body Contact
  4. Shock and Awe
  5. Distracting Shot

Lightning Reflexes

Lightning Reflexes is the perfect perk for those who don’t have a high strength. Those mercs who have an increased chance of biting the bullet will benefit most from this perk because it allows them to drop prone to avoid a shot during battle.

Not only is it great to avoid the shot, but going prone allows the merc to take cover easily behind walls or vehicles to be safer later on.

Dire Warning

Dire Warning isn’t amazing on its own but it is great when combined with other perks like Flanker, Killing Spree, or Shock and Awe. Dire Warning gives you a 15% chance to cause panic with each attack that deals damage.

This perk is a great way to set in panic and cause your enemies to flee when they get a wound. Of course, this perk only works when your merc’s morale is high or very high.

Full Body Contact

Full Body Contact grants your merc 15 Grit any time they land a successful melee attack. Turn your rage into a weapon using this perk as Grit is what you need to survive melee attacks when you don’t have high health.

This is a great perk to combine with ones like Killing Spree, Flanker, or Ambusher. It won’t allow you to deal extra damage like some perks, but it will let you use your gains to withstand attacks.

Shock and Awe

Shock and Awe is a simple perk that grants you 10% bonus damage when your merc’s morale is high or very high. This is amazing for getting in some extra damage early in a fight.

Combine this perk with others like Fast Runner to reach enemies quicker or Dire Warning and you will have enemies running for the hills of Grand Chien.

Distracting Shot

Are you tired of enemies using Overwatch and Pin Down? Distracting shot is the perfect perk to deal with this. This perk essentially removes those effects from enemies’ firearm attacks.

Distracting shot is good to combine with many other perks in the game though it isn’t a substitute for abilities that increase your HP or help you survive attacks.
