After the elected president of Grand Chien goes missing, members of the powerful Adonis Corporation are called in to help. Jagged Alliance 3 is a tactical turn-based game that has you fighting the paramilitary force known as the Legion.
This real time turn-based combat game can prove to be a difficult and unforgiving challenge that will have you thinking very strategically. Every shot that you take matters. When things go haywire, you will want to be able to take things slow and think about your options.
When entering combat, make sure you have the best mercs for the job who have great traits and attributes to help you overcome the enemy forces. Hold onto powerful weapons and use them to your advantage. When things get rough, you may want to take a break. Can you pause in Jagged Alliance 3?
How to pause the game in Jagged Alliance 3
Unfortunately, there is no way to pause the game in Jagged Alliance 3—At least, not during combat. Since this is a real-time strategy game, it lacks a pause feature that you can use. Many on the Steam discussion Page have asked Haemimont Games to add a pause button to the game to help make combat easier and give more time to make decisions.
There is a silver lining in all of this. There is a mod that you can download called Active Pause! This mod allows you to simply press the spacebar button to pause the game and press it a second time to enter real-time mode.
Keep in mind that this mod does not work for cutscenes. You cannot use it to pause or skip cutscenes. It is purely for combat use.
While it is unfortunate that you can’t pause the game without needing to mod it, at least there is a means of pausing the game even if it is with cheats. Hopefully, the developers will add this mechanic to the game because it seems to be one of the favorite features of fans.
