Jagged Alliance 3 is a tactical turn-based combat game created by Haemimont Games. In the game, you will recruit squad members to fight back against Legion enemies who have taken over Grand Chien.
Eliminating enemies is easy if you have the best mercenaries on your team. A competent shooter or a sniper is great to have. There is a whole cast of mercenaries to unlock such as Fox, Mouse, Steroid, Livewire, and Igor. Each of these mercenaries has special talents that will help you in battle.
Each of these mercs is a great recruitment option. While many mercs require cash to unlock them, some are obtained by getting a positive relationship with them. Flay isn’t one of the normal mercs you can get. He is much better. Here is how you recruit Flay in Jagged Alliance 3.
Jagged Alliance 3 – How to recruit Flay
Start your recruitment of Flay by talking to Hyena in C4. Hyena is the leader of the poacher camp in the area. Hyena will tell you about Flay and how he has been killing poachers in the area. You will then be asked to track down Flay and kill him. We’ll go into detail below but here’s a quick way:
- Go to C6 and interact with corpses.
- Talk to Flay with a character with 90 Wisdom
- Ask Flay to hunt for you
Go to C6 which is east of the camp and then to B4 which is to the northwest. In these squares, you will find three corpses. Interact with all of them.
Once you have interacted with all three corpses, Flay will come out and talk to you. Before progressing, it is important to note that you will need a character with at least a 90 in their Wisdom attribute. It also helps to have a merc with social perks for this situation. This is the only way to get the chat option to recruit Flay.
In the dialogue options, you will be able to comment about Flay’s mental state. Don’t do this and instead ask him to come hunt for you. If you succeed in the checks, Flay will join your team.
Flay is a skilled marksman and makes for a great sniper to have on the team. Obtaining him can be a bit of a detour but it is well worth it if you need another member for your team.
