As a Jedi, Cal’s main weapon is of course going to be a lightsaber. Like the Jedi that came before him, Force users all carry the signature weapon. However, they do have a bit of a problem when it comes to range. As melee weapons with a short throwing distance, lightsabers are useful but if you want to hit a target further away, a blaster is the best choice. Here’s how to get one in the game.
Can you use a blaster in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?
Yes, you get a blaster in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Over the course of the main story, Cal will gain access to a blaster. You won’t have to go out of your way to obtain the weapon used mainly by Stormtroopers, as it will be given to you along the way.
You will be given a blaster within the first few hours of the game. Players who reach chapter three will be rewarded with the blaster. It’s right around the portion of the game where you head to the shattered moon of Koboh. So this is a good way to get the crossguard and the blaster at the same time.
How to use a blaster in Jedi: Survivor
Once Cal is given the blaster, a new stance will become available. Instead of focusing on lightsaber stances, you can now access the blaster stance. You can pair this with a lightsaber stance of your choice for more flexibility. The blaster stance gives Cal the ability to use the blaster in a fight so he gets in some ranged fighting. It also includes its own unique skill line that you can level up during the game. It can be a bit awkward to switch from using a melee weapon for the majority of the game but practice makes perfect.
