Good news, we’ve got some official news on the status of MW2 and Warzone 2 Season 2 start time. According to a new notice from Activision, MW2 & Warzone 2 Season 2 will begin on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
This is two weeks later than its predicted launch date of February 1 which was initially indicated by the in-game Battle Pass timer.

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 2 has had an official release date and start time, so we’re going to get into this when’s and where’s right now. Following an official tweet (below), we know that February 15th is the date.

When Does MW2 & Warzone 2 Season 1 End?
Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2 Season 1 will come to an end on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, immediately before the Season 2 update goes live.
New Call of Duty seasons usually drop immediately following the expiration of the previous Battle Pass, with no downtime expected for the transition to Season 2.
What to expect from Season 2
The new battle pass for season 2 will give players immediate access to the BO Bonus Sector featuring Ronin.
Ronin is an ex-Special Forces officer and is considered to be a “one-man-army”.
The new update promises to bring in a selection of new weapons, new operator skins, bundle highlights, and much more for fans to sink their teeth into.
New weapons include the ISO Hemlock Assault Rifle, KV Broadside Shotgun, Crossbow, and more. Furthermore, the new maps for season 2 include Dome, Valderas Museum, and Ashika Island.
