With the release of Mortal Kombat 1, the newest title in the arcade classic Mortal Kombat series, WB Games and NetherRealm Studios have announced an online stress test for the game’s servers.
Players who want in on the action and fatalities have plenty of questions about it. What game modes will be available to play? What platforms can you play it on? When does it start? When does it end?

End Date & Time for MK1 Online Stress Test
The Mortal Kombat 1 Online Stress Test will close on Monday, June 26 at 8am PDT / 10am CDT / 11am EDT / 4pm BST. This will give the developers the entire weekend to test out the servers, and for players to battle it out and push the game servers to their limits.
The online stress test is designed for the game to stress test their online servers before launch in September, for a smooth experience when the game is released in full. This is not a beta test, it simply is meant to test the online servers.
The stress test will only be available on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, so if you don’t have either of these platforms, you’ll have to wait for the game’s full release. While there may be future stress tests for other consoles, nothing is official and there is no information on whether future tests will occur.
Luckily, you won’t need an Xbox Live Gold or a PlayStation Plus subscription to enjoy the stress test, just an internet connection.
Participation is selected at random after signing up on the official website with your WB Games account, so there’s no guarantee that you will be allowed in the online stress test, even if you’ve preordered the game.
