Since its launch in 2018, NBA 2K Mobile has been a ground breaking success within the mobile sports community and it just added to that with a brand new season for its fans to delve into. With NBA 2K23’s release taking place on September 9th, 2022, NBA 2K felt it was only justified to supply its mobile fans with a variety of new content to enjoy as well, and they did just that.
NBA 2K Mobile Season 5 has been released, adding several new features that have made this mobile experience arguably the best to date. Season 5 came with a lot of big changes, catering a gaming experience that resembles that of console-quality gameplay.

NBA 2K Mobile: Season 5 Features
NBA 2K Mobile introduced an extensive list of new features. But of all the new changes they introduced, the two main focuses they honed in on with Season 5 consist of the NBA card collection and the game modes they offer.
There’s a lot to go over. So without further ado, here’s a look at all the newest features of NBA 2K Mobile Season 5.
MyTEAM Card Collection
The NBA card collection feature is pretty neat, allowing fans to collect hundreds of cards from not only the 2022-23 rosters but also Playoff superstars, All-Stars, and MVP Winners. In addition, NBA 2K added new card tiers such as Pearl, Topaz, and Jade, cards that you can level up from season to season.
That said, the cards you can unlock are not limited to these sets of players. NBA 2K Mobile also added several legends you can play with as well, including the likes of Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, and more.
Mentoring System
A facet of the NBA card collection that is new in Season 5, is the mentoring system. This new feature will allow fans to create mentors that will provide boosts when attached to certain MyTeam basketball player cards. This new perk allows for a whole new level of depth you can dig into with your lineup management as you continue to build your best team.
CREWS Mode
One special feature in the CREWS Mode of NBA 2K Mobile, is the MyPLAYER experience. Style has always been a big part of the MyPLAYER mode and NBA 2K Mobile decided to bring that to life with some great merchandise to wear. Adding items by Nike, Jordan, and Adidas, players have the luxury to flex how they choose to before hitting the court with their MyPLAYER.
To add to it, a new blacktop court was added into CREWS Mode as well, catering a 3v3 freestyle basketball gameplay that has never been featured before in NBA 2K Mobile.
Tournaments & Events
NBA 2K Mobile added in an all-new Tourneys Mode for Season 5 and its quite special. This mode grants fans the chance to really test their skills by competing against specific opponents in a 7-game championship series.
Moreover, Season 5 will have a variety of events that will allow players to earn exclusive rewards all year long, adding yet another engaging alternative for fans to dive into.
