Star Wars: Squadrons is the return to form that many fans have been waiting for when it comes to Star Wars games. After all, the last space-combat game set in this universe was released back in 2003, and since then there’s not been too much movement on that front. With this title coming out on most of the major platforms, you may be wondering: is this title cross platform? Well, the simple answer is yes, so you can look forward to enjoying this game with your friends whether they’re playing on PC, PS4, Xbox One, or Xbox Series X/S.

So yes, this game does indeed support crossplay across all of the different platforms it was released on. Even better, the game came out with crossplay already available, so there should have been plenty of chances to fix any bugs that might have cropped up in the meantime. With any luck, that will also apply to the slightly more recent Xbox Series X/S version of the game.

How to Play Star Wars: Squadrons Cross Platform

By default, cross platform play is enabled when you start up the game. If your goal is to simply play games against random players regardless of their choice of system, then you don’t have to lift a finger. Just start regular matchmaking and you’ll be up against folks from other platforms. If you want to add friends, then you’ll need to attach your platform account to your EA account and add those friends to your EA account. You can then join your friends’ games and invite them to yours.

Does Star Wars: Squadrons have Cross Save/ Cross Progression?

Unfortunately, while the game does support crossplay, it does not have any cross save or cross progression features, and currently, there are no plans to add them. If you want to move platforms, you’re going to have to start over from scratch on the new system.
