This time round in Street Fighter 6, Capcom has implemented a diverse tier list and ranking system that requires competitive online matches in the Battle Hub. Ready to see where you would rank as Ryu?

Rankings List in Street Fighter 6

Your starting rank in Street Fighter Six online battle hub will be somewhere around rookie, if you are an advanced player it shouldn’t take you too long to climb the leader board using your individual skill and knowledge of combos in the fighting grounds but this will climb and change with demotions, league points, win streak bonuses, and placement matches among other factors to help create the best and most challenging matches for everyone from beginner through novice and intermediate all the way up the rank tier ladder to Master rank.

The Rankings List in order from highest to lowest is this:

  1. Master League
  2. Diamond League
  3. Platinum League
  4. Gold League
  5. Silver League
  6. Bronze League
  7. Iron League
  8. Rookie League

Rookie is almost exclusively reserved for entirely new players as a way to get them used to the ranked experience.

When you enter the game’s online mode, it will ask you your experience level in fighting games, ranging from Beginner to Advanced. Selecting Beginner will place you into the Rookie League automatically without going through placement matches. If you select anything other, it will ask you to select a character and play through placement matches. You’ll need to play 10 placement matches. This will further help determine your starting rank and will optimise the matchmaker system.

Master League

Once a player gets to Master League, you can’t be demoted. You want to get to Master League so you don’t get demoted and so you can say that you are a Master at special moves in Street Fighter just like the veterans.

  • Master League
    • Master One
    • Master Two
    • Master Three
    • Master Four
    • Master Five

Platinum and Diamond League

You can be demoted to a lower league from Platinum and Diamond if you lose enough Platinum League and up will also not get a win streak bonus.

Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Iron Leagues

Apparently League demotions also aren’t possible in Iron, Bronze, Silver, and Gold, but if you lose a match, you will lose points.

  • Gold League
    • Gold One
    • Gold Two
    • Gold Three
    • Gold Four

Rookie League

Rookie players are rewarded for win streaks with a bonus. These players will also not have penalties like losing points for a loss and can’t be demoted down from rookie. Rookie League is mostly for players who are very very new to the fighting game style of Street Fighter, everyone with any pre experience should already be using placement matches to determine their rank.

  • Rookie League
    • Rookie One
    • Rookie Two
    • Rookie Three
    • Rookie Four
    • Rookie Five

Changes to the Ranking Lists in Street Fighter 6

The biggest change in the ranking system is this time, league points are determined per character, which means you could be playing Ryu at Master level but still be battling through Gold and Silver with Cammy and Chun-Li. This gives you the opportunity to play at equal levels for the best characters in your roster.

Ready to fight your way through the tier characters in battle hub matches? Get out there and match your offence fighting style against some top-tier characters. Don’t forget, if ranked play isn’t your style, you can still play through the story mode and casual matches within Street Fighter 6.
