The fan-favorite way to play Warzone is finally arriving in Warzone 2. Resurgence is coming back but with a twist. This time it will be on a much larger scale.
This is just one of the many additions coming to MW2 and Warzone 2 with the release of season 3. However, this has been an addition that fans have been asking for since the release of Warzone 2. Let’s go over how Resurgence is returning to Warzone 2.
Massive Resurgence Makes Its Way to Warzone 2
Although fans are getting Resurgence back, it won’t be exactly the same as it was with Rebirth Island. This time around it will be called Massive Resurgence.
The naming scheme seems to come from the fact that the revives will be on a much larger scale this time. They plan on having the total player count be much larger this time around and are having it take place on the Al Mazrah map for Warzone 2.
This is implied as the larger map is needed to fit the larger player count, which means we will probably be dealing with over 100 players in a single match of Resurgence. Thus leading to much larger waves of players coming back in.
It also seems like this will be a rotating game mode only offering one version of Resurgence at a time. This might be put in place to help keep the player numbers in check since so many players are needed for a single game.
Spreading the player count out across duos, trios, and quads will leave some queues emptier than others. In order to prevent this, only one queue for Massive Resurgence will be available at a time.
The queues mentioned in the blog post are only duos and quads, but there will most likely be a time for a trios queue as well. This can leave duos with random squadmates and quad stacks having to break apart into teams, but they don’t want Resurgence to be the only game mode played.
Massive Resurgence will be redeploying into Warzone 2 with season 3 and all the other content it is bringing to MW2.
