With the release of Activision and Infinity Ward’s Warzone 2’s newest season, Season 4, for both Warzone and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the biggest update comes in the form of the new map for multiplayer, Vondel. Vondel is a Baroque European city with plenty to offer in terms of versatility in terrain, and new items and features to enjoy. How big is the Vondel map in Warzone 2? We’re here to let you know.

What is the Vondel map size in Warzone 2?

Vondel is a medium-sized map, which falls between the sizes of the Al Mazrah map from Battle Royale mode, and the Ashika Island map, another Resurange mode map. Bigger than Ashika Island despite being in the same game mode, but it simply can’t compare to the massive size of Al Mazrah.

Vondel comes from the makers of the throwback Rebirth Island map, Beenox. The new public event to celebrate the map, the Vondel Event, is a limited-time mode that will allow players to take on different categories of challenges and complete objectives to earn more player XP and rewards with their squad members.

Vondel’s geographical footprint features a mixture of densely-packed urban streets, quads, town houses, and canals of the city with taxi boats to travel on, plus a multitude of other environments to strategize your loadout and squadmates for in Vondel, with scenic areas like a medieval castle with dynamic fog rolling around, the open soccer stadium, and the larger structures of the defunct university and abandoned zoo. Plenty of parkour routes for you to take to discover the numerous secrets the city hides, and size-wise, it’s right in the middle of the pack.

The new four-passenger vehicle, the TAV or Tactical Amphibious Vehicle, is perfect for the water terrain to travel with your squad across the map. Because Vondel will feature a player size of 18 for DMZ, and a whopping 72 for Resurgence mode, you’re going to need to move around to reach everyone on the new vehicle.

Warzone 2 Vondel POIs – how many locations does Vondel have?

With a good-sized map, perfect for ranked play, comes plenty of POIs to take note of, and Vondel has a total of 17 for players to explore. These points of interest are:

These zones will offer plenty of high stakes battles during the game modes that Vondel offers, including the previously mentioned DMZ and Resurgence game modes, but Lockdown LTM as well to enjoy the new operators with, like Nikto and Io.

Season 4 also includes the new menu system for DMZ, the Forward Operating Base, or FOB, a communications station that includes contraband armaments, a weapons locker, a bounty board, a stash for increasing wallet and key stash size, bartering recipes, exfil, and urgent mission access for urgent missions to pick up.

Vondel map size and features

Vondel, even as a medium-sized map, will soon join the maps of the standard Battle Royale mode, as a mid-season update will be coming that adds the map to the rotation for the last squad standing mode. It will be perfect to test out the new weapons, including the ISO 45 SMG, the Tonfa melee weapon, and the Tempus Razorback Assault Rifle for plenty of high fire rate action.

Once other operators Ana Vega, Butch, and Izanami join in bundles, with operator upgrades, you can take full advantage of Vondel’s new features. Don’t forget that the RAID finale will also be coming in the mid-season update, so there’s plenty to look forward to.
