Blizzard Entertainment has announced that low population Burning Crusade servers are getting free transfers. Since the initial hype of WoW Classic dying off in 2019, many servers are getting more and more barren, with players flocking to higher pop servers to salvage server communities.

Free Burning Crusade transfers

On Tuesday, Blizzard Entertainment published a Blue Post on their forums, where official developers and community managers can update Warcraft fans. Kaivax, one of the North American World of Warcraft community managers posted a message detailing free transfers from lop pop to high pop servers.

“In the next couple of weeks, we intend to enable free character transfers for many Burning Crusade Classic realms. We’re planning to offer free transfers from all of the lowest-population BCC realms to any high-population realm of the same ruleset and region. We will update this post to let you know all the details when we have the free character transfers underway.” Said Kaivax, WoW CM.

As it stands, the free Burning Crusade transfers are not available. So, if you are desperately considering a new home in the Burning Crusade Classic, we advise waiting. Normally free server transfers don’t really take too long to set up, so you should be able to expect it soon. However, there is no guarantee, since Blizzard is still making seemingly on the fly decisions regarding BCC hotfixes. Not to mention the servers on the Classic end are going to get rammed with traffic when the new WoW Classic Season of Mastery name reservations kick off later this week.
