World of Warcraft has released a new hotfix for players. This patch mainly handles some bugs in the Secrets of Azeroth area, but also handles a big PvP issue that some players were having. Essentially, things are about to get a whole lot more fair in PvP.

The following hotfixes are available for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, Wrath of the Lich King Classic, Burning Crusade Classic, and WoW Classic. It is possible that some of the hotfixes listed below will take effect immediately after they are implemented, while others may require a scheduled realm restart in order to take effect. There are some issues that cannot be addressed without a client-side patch update.

Below is the World of Warcraft update, courtesy of the official website.

World of Warcraft Hotfixes: September 13, 2023

Player versus Player

  • Sarannis’ Mystic Sheen effectiveness reduced by 70% in PvP.

Secrets of Azeroth

  • On the secret day starting with “They Are Always Listening”, you should now get the quest “A Complete Inventory” from Fangli Hoot if you do not get it automatically by investigating all 6 notes.
  • Updated some of the quests to address issues where players could fail to receive a clue because secrets had been started on different characters.

Sarannis Mystic Sheen was pretty overpowered, so we’re happy to see that get a nerf although it seems pretty high. Nerfs normally come in a 10% change but rarely make it to 20%. Seeing this get nerfed 70% is not normal, but we assume that the developers understood the issue and it was really too effective and too powerful to stay in PvP.

As for the other updates, they’re just bug fixes for Secrets of Azeroth. Many players were reporting issues with these two quests, so if you had trouble with either, this fix is for you.
