World of Warcraft is providing a new update for its Dragonflight, Wath of Lich King Classic, Burning Crusade Classic, and WoW Classic servers. These fixes aren’t many but they’re much-needed fixes. The official website has provided the notes for the new update.

World of Warcraft Hotfixes: September 5, 2023

Here you’ll find a list of hotfixes that address various issues related to World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, Wrath of the Lich King Classic, Burning Crusade Classic, and WoW Classic.

Some of the hotfixes below take effect the moment they are implemented, while others may require scheduled realm restarts to go into effect. Please keep in mind that some issues cannot be addressed without a client-side patch update. This list will be updated as additional hotfixes are applied.

Events

  • Secrets of Azeroth
    • Fixed an issue that was causing the quest “Using the Idol” to not show up after you completed “An Idol in Hand.”

Quests

  • Fixed an issue where credit was not being assigned correctly for the final objective in “Urgent Exfiltration.”

Yes, those are really just two fixes, but World of Warcraft gets these fixes among multiple servers so each one may need a different fix. This does not effect every game and expansion since they don’t share the same quests but Blizzard tends to say all the expansions as a blanket term.

These new hotfixes are pretty light, only changes on quest and one event, but it’s better than nothing at all.

Most updates for World of Warcraft are light, for example, the last update had four fixes, while the one before had six. There aren’t many things to fix and it is up to the community to point out any issues or things that need to be fixed in WoW. The more that is on the list, the more will get done.
