In order to provide next-gen gaming performance for less than $1,000, AMD created the Radeon RX 7900 XT ($899) and XTX ($999) cards. At the top end (XTX), AMD easily defeats Nvidia’s most recent RTX 4080 ($1,199) card in a number of titles at 4K. Even though ray tracing and super sampling performance are a major letdown, AMD excels at native 4K gaming.

Together, they also represent AMD’s RDNA 3 architecture’s first public display. This is based on a chiplet design similar to the Ryzen CPU, where the six 6nm memory cache dies are divided up to form the 5nm graphics compute die.

The ultimate result is a more effective GPU that provides better performance without increasing energy costs. Naturally, one of these GPUs may be used to blaze through any resolution you like, but these are 4K cards for 4K monitors. The overall board power of the $899 Radeon RX 7900 XT starts at 315 watts, and a 750-watt power supply is advised. Just prior to launch, AMD increased the RX 7900 XT’s power draw from 300 watts to 315 watts since it was discovered that the slight increase resulted in improved performance.

The 7900 XT graphics card is excellent for live streaming as well. We would say that AMD is superior to Nvidia since it offers a better price-to-performance ratio. It is advised to use the RDNA 3 AMD cards instead of the RDNA 2 because they can be insufficient in some streaming scenarios. However, out of the two AMD cards – the 7900 XT and the 7900 XTX are better for live streaming.

Simply switch to CPU encoding because that CPU can handle it if you experience any problems with AMD GPU streaming to Twitch for any game for any reason. You should purchase a capture card or dedicated streaming PC anyhow if you ever want to become a more established streamer and have a more professional setup.
