The RTX 4070 is the Ada series’ best value option. It offers a good balance of price to performance, and it’s plenty of power for AC Mirage alongside it. It currently makes it possibly the best GPU for anyone looking for an upgrade and the features it has to offer are great as it’s not just the raw rasterization it has to offer.

In general, the benchmarks of the card offer a performance across the board of resolutions. As in the Techspot review of the card, we see the tests achieved an average of around 70 FPS at 4k, 130 at 1440p, and 180 at 1080p across 13 games. With quite an advantage over the recommended specification, the 4070 brings with it a lot to the table. Especially with the addition of frame generation technology that can be utilized with DLSS 3, unlocking even more potential from games.

As for the ASUS Dual card, you get a solid build quality with a good cooling solution. This means you get the performance as expected in the long run, without taking up too much space in your case. Coming in with quite a low TDP for what it has to offer.

Now for a bit more recent choice from AMD, a good alternative is the RX 7800 XT. With an RDNA 3 architecture, it has a lot to offer as an alternative to Team Green. It also boasts a great price for performance, which also has plenty of great features to bring.

Although where it might fall behind is the drivers and support, it has its own benefits with the likes of RSR and boosting the performance and features, even if it falls behind in encoding and ray tracing performance.

XFX offers a great value option for the GPU as well, with generally low pricing keeping close to MSRP, it should be a good model to go for. With a long three-fan design you can get a lot of cooling to keep the performance of the GPU in general, especially with the overclocked frequency it has to offer over the factory model.
