Although the RTX 3050 might not have been the most popular choice of GPU from the 30 series, it certainly filled a particular use case and niche which hasn’t yet been filled. So we look to when you could expect the RTX 4050 release window might be.

Nvidia RTX 450 release window speculation

At the time of writing, we still await any official confirmation as to when to expect the new card to be released. We expect the RTX 4070 release date to be the first of the upcoming cards, there is still plenty of hope for the lower-end choices to be coming out and giving a good selection on that end of the spectrum.

As such the rumors are what we have to turn to to see when we can expect the entry point card. And the Twitter user MEGAsizeGPU, who is a known leaker, suggests the 4050 is coming in June. Which will come about a month after the 4060 Ti release date. Although the release date might still be a bit fluid till it is confirmed as we’ve seen with the RTX 3050 rumors mentioning 2021 but not coming till 2022.

RTX 4050 – what do we know about the specs?

With very little information on the card yet, there are even little specification details on the card. Although there is already a mobile version of the chip it is unlikely to carry the same specs as the desktop version. Although it could be possible and it features 2,560 CUDA cores, 6GB of GDDR6 memory with a 96-bit bus at 18 Gbps, all at 115W.

Whilst at the moment the same user on Twitter replying to the release date rumor has given one suggestion to the new cards specs. All that is mentioned is that the GPU is expected to feature 6GB of GDDR6 memory with a 96-bit bus. Which is in line with the mobile specs but could still vary in the rest.
