That is a lot of points, you have to be very dedicated to the Steam Summer Sale to spend this amount of Steam Points on a seasonal badge, so kudos to you if you do.

How many Steam points do you get when you spend money on Steam?

Of course, the Steam Points are an extra benefit to purchasing on Steam, it’s not like you buy Steam Points directly and that’s all you get. You do get to enjoy the games you bought to receive the points.

Are there other ways to earn Steam Points besides buying on Steam?

Yes, there are. The best way we have found is to try and leave a funny, insightful, or helpful comment as a review on your favorite games to earn points when the community reacts to your post. It’s easier to get attention on smaller games with fewer total reviews.

It’s easy to forget the value of something when it slowly accumulates over time in the dark corners of your Steam Account. Just know that when you drop 40K Steam Points on that max-level Summer Sale badge, that’s the value of a Steam Deck.
