The beloved game mode Plunder is returning to Call of Duty Warzone 2. After being absent for some time, Activision announced in a blog post that Plunder would eventually make its way back into the Warzone. However, many fans had to eagerly wait for it since it was more of an “eventually” type of announcement.

Finally, Call of Duty announced Plunder’s return through a tweet on their official Twitter account. A nice video showed off the game mode and players shooting each other trying to get as much money as possible.

Is Plunder returning to Call of Duty Warzone?

Plunder is making its return on April 26, 2023. This was announced on the official Call of Duty Twitter account, which teased players to “Get ready to take the money and run.”

Surely, many players and streamers are happy about the return, because it’s a well-liked game mode.

What’s new in Plunder 2.0 in Warzone 2?

This is Plunder 2.0, which changes some things. There are changes to the in-match event system, new Buy Station items, and even permanent rewards. Here are the upcoming events in Plunder 2.0:

  • Blood Money: When you kill and loot Operators during a Blood Money event, you earn Double Cash.
  • Cannon Fodder: Withheld from players until release.
  • Contractor: Withheld from players until release.
  • Choke Hold: Withheld from players until release.

Additionally, new Buy Station additions include the Credit Card. The Credit Card offers Life Insurance and 10% cash back on purchases. This lets players save 50% of their cash on hand when eliminated. There are also rewards like Vehicle Camo, Calling Cards, and more.

What is Plunder in Call of Duty?

For those who don’t know, Plunder is a squad-based game mode where players race to collect the most cash within a set time limit.

You can earn cash by completing contracts, eliminating enemies, participating in events, and clearing out Strongholds and Blacksites. You can hold onto your cash, deposit it at a Cash Deposit Helipad, or use a Cash Deposit Balloon for mobile transactions. Cash can then be used at Buy Stations to purchase items like Killstreaks, weapons, and other rewards.

Warzone’s Plunder game mode was introduced in Call of Duty: Warzone, and quickly gained popularity for its fast-paced gameplay and unique goals.
