The official CS2 has posted a cryptic message on its Twitter (X) account, the post pertains to a possible CS2 release date, as it is coming from the official account of CS2. We’ve been waiting forever for an actual release date to come forth and this time we might finally have one. Unless it’s “next Wednesday” in Valve time, then who knows when that actually is. An ominous post from CS2 suggests the game could be released next Wednesday

If you don’t know what Valve Time is, check out the Valve Time Wiki page, it’ll give you an idea of just how spot-on Valve can be regarding release dates and such. But with that being said, CS2 may very soon be released to the masses.

Counter-Strike 2 could release on Wednesday the 27th of September

I know you’re probably thinking one thing, that’s after Summer ends and technically you would be right, however, it’s pretty in line with Valve releases. Some players had to wait years after the initial release dates of games to drop back in the day. Valve time is very real.

A lot of people have had access to CS2 for a while now, but it seems like a full release is on the horizon thanks to a very ominous Tweet from the CS2 Twitter (X) account. The TWeet reads:

Normally, we’d suggest that it could be another update to the game, but I cannot honestly conjure in my mind anything that needs to be added to the game that hasn’t already been tested. There’s nothing left.

That means, with cautious optimism, that I think this is the day on which CS2 will be released publicly. Conversely, however, it might be the last day of CS:GO’s life. Which is a bittersweet affair if you ask me, and I’m sure many others will agree.

So, Wednesday the 27th of September then. Only 4 days after originally planned, not bad for Valve. What do you think? Do you think CS2 is going to be released on this day, or it’s just another tease from the developers of CS2?

I have my fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong and gets the game delayed by 7 years …
