During the Apple WWDC event, we were introduced to the upcoming Standby feature. Standby, essentially turns your phone into a display when not being used. You simply turn your phone on its side when charging and you get a whole new experience.
The best way to think about Standby is – it is your new bedside companion. Turn it into an alarm clock easily and personalize how it looks. Furthermore, when its dark, Standby will lower the lighting and adapt to ensure you aren’t rudely awoken by horrid lighting. With Standby you can have it set to shuffle through your albums and favorite photos. The new app will also make sure of widgets, so you can see the weather, markets, home controls, and 3rd party widgets and the flick of a finger.
You can also see loads of other real-time information, such as the latest football score, calendar information, or even when your food arrives that you ordered!
