Black Ops 2 Remastered maps may be on the horizon

Call of Duty has had many things leaked about Modern Warfare 3, but it seems this most recent leak speaks on a game that will come two years from now. Obviously, it’s a leaker, so it’s better to take it with a grain of salt. However, it coincides with what many believe is going to happen to the series after MW3 comes out.
A Call of Duty leaker has claimed that a number of Black Ops 2 remastered multiplayer maps are currently scheduled to be released in Call of Duty 2025. That would be the Call of Duty game after this one, which would show what the next Call of Duty games may be.
Call of Duty 2025 leak
el_bobberto leaked many details about Modern Warfare 3, and according to Insider Gaming, this leaker claimed that remastered multiplayer maps are coming for Black Ops 2. While they claim that “this is very likely to change within the next two years”, if true, it gives us a hint at what’s next for the company.
Activision had every intention of remastering Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 after 1 because these decisions were made years in advance. However, Modern Warfare 3 was not a guarantee until news came out that an expansion of MW2 was big enough for its own game. This means that the company is very happy with how the remasters have taken off and may want to push this further.
If the leak above is to be believed, that could mean that Black Ops 2 will be remastered in 2025. Before this can happen, the original Black Ops needs to be remastered, making the release date 2024, which makes a lot of sense.
This is still all speculation since it’s just a leak, but it isn’t too hard to believe that Activision wants to continue remaking the most popular Call of Duty games since the Modern Warfare trilogy has been so profitable.
