The new update for Call of Duty was released just yesterday, June 14, and players are discussing all the changes and improvements made. In Warzone, there were many changes made overall to the game, like increasing health and removing AI, which we’ve mentioned before, but some changes went unnoticed by players.

Weapons in battle royale games get updates often, and the case is no different with Call of Duty. These types of changes and updates can happen to better improve weapons or sometimes end up accidentally ruining some of their favorite guns.

Weapons receive a buff update in MW2 and players hardly notice

The update turned out to have buffed some weapons unknowingly to the community, but thankfully some players have noticed. So far, it seems to have taken its biggest improvement for shotguns, and some weapons have also received some new attachment upgrades as well. On a subreddit for players discussing the latest Season 4 update patch notes, people started sharing their thoughts on the weapons. This user on the subreddit began the discussion.

This Reddit user made a comment saying how they “really buffed all the shotguns,” and another Redditor replies to them, expressing how it is “about damn time.”

Some players got very passionate with their responses about the shotguns getting this buff update to improve the weapons and the damage they do to enemies. Some players, agreeing with the post above, have also agreed that the weapons were basically useless without slugs.

Another player makes it known that the 74u has gotten a new barrel but that some other weapons haven’t gotten any attachment and loadout updates, for example, the MP5. The players then stated how there’s still no nebula barrel on the MP5, and they now feel like it didn’t exist at all. One user commented, “It was featured in the Beta, but locked,” which could mean it’ll come later on.

The main weapon buff is mainly that shotguns got a big overall, introducing a stronger version of the weapon to do more damage in Season 4.
