Knowing the best places to land in any battle royale game is extremely important, whether that be knowing where the best loot is or what locations people normally don’t tend to go to. Each player will have a different preference, but this guide should give some assistance in picking where to go. 

Vondel is the latest map to be introduced into Call of Duty: Warzone with the start of Season 4. This map is probably one of the coolest we’ve seen thus far, especially the castle and city elements going together. Below is more information about the best places to land on this brand-new map Vondel, which has also introduced the new Warzone to a limited-time mode Lockdown. There will be a mid-season update bringing even more cool things.

Vondel’s best landing spots

As mentioned above, Vondel is a new map in Call of Duty: Warzone, so players aren’t familiar with it yet. Luckily for you, this guide will explain a bit about some of the top locations that players should be landing at for the best gameplay experience as well as why they are points of interest.

Zoo

This one might be an odd one, but it is a cool one. The Zoo in Vondel is a wide area, as can be seen from the map above, it takes up a lot of the map on the lower bottom, while the Castle takes up the whole top left. 

This location has a bunch of rivers and bridges throughout. However, it is an isolated piece of open space as well. There are still some animals remaining in the Zoo, even after some things have been destroyed around it.

Overall, this location is an interesting one to use, and it can be good for more advanced players since there aren’t many areas to hide while undergoing attack from enemies. But if a player has some squadmates, they could easily take them on.

City Hall

This is another really cool area which is the City Hall of Vondel. This is a close-quarters type of area which is good if a player is ready to hit the ground running and take out enemies quickly if in the tight space with them. 

The Town Hall has many windows, so if combat situations get a hit intense, making a jump and running for it to reload is also an option. But remember, it is possible for players outside to see players from inside the windows, so be smart with your choices there. Be sure to check any crates around.

University

Call of Duty’s Vondel University village is another good landing spot as not only does this building have three stories, but there are a lot of shops and also a central courtyard for battling on. There are many staircases that players will have to maneuver around to get from floor to floor.

While this location might not be as close-quarters as City Hall, it can be another intense area in the first few minutes of landing as players rush to find good weapons in the surrounding area.

Mall

The Mall is next up on the list, this is a two-story building and can be found by the water fountain located on the exterior of the building. There are many different stores located in the building that players can go inside and loot, including a really cool bookshop. 

However, do be careful, as the Mall is a place where hostile forces can easily tuck themselves away, awaiting players looking to get some good loot. 

Castle

Saving the best for last, the Castle. This is a beautiful area to land, but it will be one of the most popular, so be on the lookout for other players. It is a 13th-century castle that is in the far part of Vondel’s map. The castle has everything to be thought of, bedrooms, different living spaces and chambers, many hallways, and even a water area that could make a good getaway route. 

The Castle area also has a pretty cool chapel where players can loot some good items and also go underground to escape quickly back into some of the city parts of Vondel. This is another great landing space. Other useful items can also be found in the main structure but also the chapel. This area can quickly become a high-stakes area.

This is another big open area players might want to explore as well as other places in the middle of the map.
